This ReadMe file describes the defects fixed in this patch and known issues.
Last revision: 04/07/2006
The ActiveFactory™ 9.1 Patch 01 software includes the following new features:
· Support for SQL Server 2005
· Support for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
ActiveFactory™ 9.1 Patch 01 consists of two separate executables:
· ActiveFactory™ 9.1 Patch 01 for the ActiveFactory™ 9.1 Client Applications (Setup.msp)
· ActiveFactory™ 9.1 Patch 01 for the ActiveFactory™ 9.1 Reporting Web Site (WebApplication.msp)
Important: On a machine that has both ActiveFactory™ 9.1 Reporting Web Site and Client Applications, you must install ActiveFactory™ 9.1 Patch 01 for the Client Applications in addition to the ActiveFactory™ 9.1 Patch 01 for the Reporting Web Site. Otherwise the Client Desktop Applications Trend and Query cannot be opened.
The following defects were fixed for this patch release. Click on the defect number for a more detailed description of the problem.
L00048690 ActiveFactory desktop clients are unable to connect to a case-sensitive SQL Server.
L00049172 The aaHistClient ActiveX control causes a memory leak in the InTouch HMI software.
L00049260 Scheduled reports are not generated after the publishing service is running for a few days.
The default behavior is to
discard duplicate values. To enable plotting of duplicate values, add the
following entry to the win.ini file:
[HistClient]
KeepAllTrendPoints = 1
The add-ins are now correctly signed, and an expired certificate does not prevent you from using the add-ins.
If the ActiveFactory desktop applications are installed on the computer, a client session can now be established with the ActiveFactory Reporting Website without consuming a server license.
Solution: In addition to installing the patch, Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 needs to be installed to solve this problem.
With the patch applied, a client session on a machine that has an installation of ActiveFactory desktop applications is able to connect to a RWS server without consuming a server license.
Solution: In addition to installing the patch, Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 needs to be installed to solve this problem.
Workaround: To view ActiveFactory ActiveX controls in SuiteVoyager 2.6, add the SuiteVoyager URL to the Trusted Sites list.
Problem: You cannot publish a static or scheduled report successfully using a non-English version of Microsoft Office 2003 SP2. The reports do not appear under the Published Reports node in the tree. You must install a hotfix package from Microsoft to resolve this problem.
Workaround: Follow the instructions in Microsoft Knowledge Database article #912022 at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/912022/ to install the required hotfix.
Workaround: Configure the machine level CAS policy to provide full trust (FullTrust) to the entire web site. Be aware that all assemblies downloaded from the site are given full trust, and you must add a new code group for each and every site that web users navigate to. Also, you must be running with at least power user permissions to make these changes.
